I cannot get my whatsapp (ip 15 pro max) to link to whatsapp desktop(windows). It always appears error and reverts back to first page that have to click get started. But I can link to whatsapp web and android phone. I'm sure it's not internet connection problem, because I use the same wifi connection for all device. Have tried everything including deleting current versions and reinstalling. Both on iphone and desktop. The version published was 2.2413.1.0 and you can update it via Microsoft Store (if it hasn't updated automatically already). I'm already linked and back to work. Open the web.whatsapp.com in chrome browser, and download the container as a webapp. There is a link under share menu. You can also pin the webapp to the toolbar, and desktop. Following a suggestion in a YouTube video, I deleted old messages and groups I no longer needed. After doing this, I was able to connect to the desktop app finally :) I hope this solution works for you too!
