Microsoft 365 Family personalised email for people shared with
发布时间:2026-08-30 | 浏览:1
I have a personalised domain setup and working for myself and one other family member. I cannot seem to find a way to enable this for the remaining members of my family though.
The personalised email thing only shows up on my account which makes sense. If I look in there it shows the two people currently working. Checking GoDaddy an MX record is in place sending mail for @MyDomain.uk to the microsoft mail system (as demonstrated by the two working accounts). I assumed that adding an alias to the individual would make this work, however it wants to send a confirmation code to the email address. As the MX record would send that straight to MS I have no way of getting the code and thus setting up the alias.
I thought I might have to setup a microsoft account, but can't do that either for the same reason. It feels like 2FA is causing me a challenge here that would not have happened in the past. Should there be a trust token or something in the records at GoDaddy? How do I set these up for my remaining family members. (worth noting these two accounts were setup a couple of years ago and I have only recently had time to do the rest).
Thanks for any help.

Anonymous 2022-01-18T11:02:22+00:00 Many thanks. I managed to get access to this by first creating a new outlook.com address. After that the option for email personalisation appears. Once I had done the personalisation I was then able to remove the outlook.com address I had created and it continued working on the personalised address. Many thanks for your help. 0 comments No comments

Anonymous 2022-01-17T02:27:08+00:00 Hi Tre4, Welcome to Microsoft Community and hope you are doing well. We regret the inconvenience caused to you. We have not received such cases yet and I'm sorry maybe I don't know more about custom domains, more about: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/microsoft-365-family-personalised-email-for-people/718f882a-cb2f-4f89-a566-20598d53d852 From your article I noticed that what you are using appears to be a custom domain name. As far as I know, Microsoft has partnered with some of the most popular registrars. However, some options or functional services may be abnormal due to the influence of the backend of both parties. As you mentioned, this kind of problem never happened before. I don’t know if there be a trust token or something in the records at GoDaddy because it doesn't belong to Microsoft, please forgive me. If so, you can also ask GoDaddy about this kind of problem to know if there are customers who have the same issue as you. Thanks for your patience and wish a good day! 0 comments No comments
