What to do when quarantined Do not ignore the warning immediately, but also do not panic-delete without verification. Compare the file SHA-256 hash with the value on our Download page . If hashes match, restore the file and add CurseForge to your antivirus exclusion list. If hashes do not match, delete the file and re-download from a trusted source. For individual mod JARs, check the mod project page and community comments before excluding. When warnings are legitimate Compromised creator accounts have historically uploaded infected mods to mod platforms. CurseForge removed known infected files and deployed detection tools.
